What is the difference between educational and career goals

My Response: Academically, I plan to earn a reading endorsement as well as pursue a second Master's degree in ether School Counseling or Intervention Specialist. Professionally, I will continue to educate myself by attending in-services and professional workshops to stay current in the classroom and to better meet the needs of all my students. Do you think I answered it correctly? The wording in the last sentence seems awkward to me. Any suggestions?

Academic goals seem to me to be related to your goals for teaching your students. Yet both are different in their source, objective, time period, the role of interest, etc. Education provides us with life teaching which are put to use when we enter the career phase of our life.

Education bring the benefit of knowledge, teaches us with life skills while a career provides with the scope of putting that knowledge to practical use. Both train us for our lives and makes our life world living. What is Career? What is Education? Main Differences Between Career and Education Both the education and career have a different role to play in lives.

Career is built whereas education is obtained or received or disseminated. Not everyone has a career or a successful career where most of the children receive education of some sort, either from schooling or from their family. Whereas the career of the person begins when they grow up, at 16 or more and is uncertain. The goal of building a career is to gain money and respect from it whereas the objective of education is to inculcate value, ideals, beliefs in the person.

Education also benefit by developing the overall personality of the person. Education is obtained from one or the other external source whereas career can be self-made. A person gets training related to a career while interning in various companies and working for them, either free of cost or at a low price. The source of education is all around, the internet, the schools, our families, peer groups are all sources of various forms of education.

Careers are built to earn a livelihood and become successful. Defining the concepts of education goals and career goals will help you begin to develop your response. Although these goals share some similarities, they are different in crucial ways. Educational goals relate to your plans for formal education; in most cases, this refers to college. Your educational goals might include completing a certain type of degree; for example, a bachelor's degree in science or a Master of Arts degree in literature.

Educational goals might also include maintaining a sufficient grade point average GPA to qualify for a school's honors program or dean's list.

Plans to study abroad, participate in research projects with a mentor professor or become certified in a specific skill fall under the category of educational goals. If you plan to earn multiple degrees; for example, complete a bachelor's degree in political science before transferring to another university to earn a law degree, this would be included under educational goals.

Career goals differ from educational goals in that they relate to your long-term plans for employment. Career goals might include earning professional certification to practice in a certain field, starting a company or transitioning from entry-level positions within a company to leadership positions.
